Psionics-based holy warrior-priest.
The superhuman feats demonstrated by X-Com Psionic agents during the first alien invasion has given rise to the belief in supernatural abilities. In turn, this resulted in renewed faith in certain Earth-based spiritual disciplines. The Templars are but a single faction that has given Psionic energy their own twist. Through Faith and Virtue, and with a little help from Psionics, the Warriors of Light have developed their own seemingly miraculous, but very real abilities.
The first spell learned by a novice Warrior of Light. It has been practiced for countless hours and is now almost effortless to cast. Heals 1 hit point and does not end your turn. 1 turn cooldown.
"Blessing of Health"
The Warrior of Light’s devotion to helping others results in a personal blessing to their own health as well. The Warrior gains one extra HP per promotion.
"Sword Slash" or "Shield Bash"
Depending on your equipment.
Paladins of the Light never shirk from combat, but charge into the thick of it with their heads held high, allowing their glory to carry them to victory. The furious charge deals weapon damage, disorienting, and has 25% chance to stun for 1 turn.
A Paladin has no doubt of the ultimate victory of Light. Their Faith carries them to glory. Gain +50 critical chance and + 15 dodge bonus.
The Warriors of Light spend their spare time in prayer and meditation. You will often find them blessing all their equipment, including all their bullets one by one. Adds +3 armor and +25 aim passive bonus.
The Paladin’s determination is absolute. The spirit is willing, and the flesh follows. Their speed and strength are enhanced to superhuman levels. Gain +1 AP for a turn, with 4 turns cooldown.
The Priest whispers a short prayer to the Light, blessing an ally for one turn. Grants 25 aim and 50 critical chance for 2 turns. 4 turns cooldown.
The Priest is able to bend the light around an object and effectively make it disappear into thin air. Grants concealment to a target. 10 turns cooldown.
The Priest is now able to heal more serious wounds: 4 HP, with 4 turns cooldown.
"Grants 5 points of shielding to allies in a radius (same as Shieldbearer)"
Same as the Psi Operative.
Grant an ally renewed strength and energy. They gain 1 action point for this turn only.
I’m still working on some custom skills and have generic placeholders just for now. It’s been in the oven too long, so I’m releasing it, and will work on the rest later. Suggestions are welcome.
